Move in & Move out

Finished up one of the largest projects thus far in my career. I have the tendency to create long-term relationships with clients that I work with. This past week I got to support one of my families as we moved them from one home to another. 🏡

While somewhat daunting with so many interconnected pieces. No doubt because of the established relationship we were able to create an (almost) seamless move. 🥴

One could imagine with two small children and full-time working parents this was no small feat. With clear goals, communication and dash of humor, we crushed it! 🍀

Natural Consequences

My heart fluttered when I saw this in one of my tween client’s rooms. The idea of a "catch-all drawer" isn’t just practical, it’s empathetic. It acknowledges that perfection isn’t the goal — consistency and self-awareness are. You're not asking the child to always be tidy, but you're offering a way for them to pause the process without giving up on it altogether. That’s a life skill, not just an organizing trick.

Also, by tying it to natural consequences — “When it’s full, it’s time to sort” — you’re giving the child both autonomy and responsibility. It removes the shame of messiness and replaces it with curiosity and choice: What’s in here? Do I still need it? It says so much about the bigger picture of growth, patience, and trust in the learning process.

Remember these are skills that can be used at any age. They especially benefit people who are neurodivergent. Specifically people with ADHD. Anxiety with these types of tasks are common. With my support as a home organizer we can create an outline of the skills you need. From there we together can put these concepts into practice. Project Management

Sure, TOPE 805 is a home organizing business that helps people try to keep their lives together by creating a living space that makes sense to them as individuals. TOPE 805 is also about project management along with supporting the individual client’s needs.

One client forgot to pick up snacks for their kids while rushing to meet with myself and our interior designer. What made sense for this client? For me to grab snacks and drop to the kids while the client focused on what REALLY mattered. Kids were stoked on the extra treats from Vices and Spices (always a win) and the Client created a plan for their space with the designer. Sounds like a win/win to me. Ready to make a win yourself?
